Jordan Green could start tomorrow against Portsmouth, says Barnsley assistant coach Dale Tonge.
The pacy winger – who will celebrate his 24th birthday today – signed for the Reds from League Two Yeovil Town during the January transfer window. He has come off the bench three times – for a total of 42 minutes – but was left out of the squad for the home game against Burton Albion on Tuesday.
Tonge said: “Jordan has settled really well. He’s an integral part of the group. He’s diminutive in terms of stature but he’s a big character.
"He was unfortunate not to be in the squad on Tuesday but, after the conversations we have had, he should be pushing for a start on Saturday. There is no reason, given the way teams set up against us and the pace he has, that he shouldn’t start.”
