BARNSLEY-born TV soap star Katherine Kelly is returning to screens in the sequel to a hit ITV psychological thriller.
The former Coronation Street actress will feature in the second season of Liar.
She plays Detective Inspector Karen Renton, who is tasked with investigating a murder.
During the first series Joanne Froggatt and Ioan Gruffudd play Laura and Andrew, whose initial attraction leads to far-reaching consequences for them, their familes and their friends.
Series two - which airs in autumn - focuses on the circumstances of Andrew’s death, with Katherine’s character trying to discover what happened.
