A LINK with Wellington Street going back 50 years has been broken by one of Barnsley's most down-to-earth cafes.
Blackburn's - also known to more than a generation as Betty's and Madge's - has moved to Market Street. The eaterie has had a loyal and, sometimes, star-studded clientele down the years.
Customers who have been regulars for up to 30 years have been known to rub shoulders with the likes of former Test umpire Dickie Bird, television presenter Sam Nixon and an actor from 'Emmerdale'.
