A BUSINESS in Barnsley will be helping members of the public conquer their Christmas shopping at an Etsy Made Local Christmas market.
Crafty Business Barnsley has organised the market, which will be held at The Digital Media Centre on Saturday, November 30.
The market is part of a national event that will see towns and cities from coast to coast celebrating the makers and designers that make up the creative community selling on Etsy.com. Etsy is an online marketplace for handmade and vintage goods, and is encouraging people to look locally for this year’s Christmas gifts.
Crafty Business Barnsley is looking for local Etsy sellers to join them at the Etsy Made Local market. The event will give the people of Barnsley a chance to discover some of the best of the town’s creative community, allowing them to connect with and buy directly from local makers and designers. As well as providing an opportunity to find unique and affordable gifts in the lead up to Christmas. There will also be food, drink, creative activities and live music on offer.
Crafty Business Barnsley founder Steph Cronin said: “I’m thrilled to have been asked to host an Etsy Made Local market for a fourth year. The purpose of this event is to help support local creative businesses and this is a great platform to be able to celebrate them.”
Applications for handmade products, food and creative activities are being accepted until September 30.
