YOU have heard of Oscars - but what about BOSCARS?
The glamour of an awards night came to Barnsley with the first 'Oscars', or BOSCARS, at Brooklands Hotel in Dodworth.
Primary schools were invited to make short digital videos. The films could be fictional or factual but no longer than two minutes' long.
All of the entries were screened at the BOSCARS award ceremony, attended by teacher and pupil representatives. The 13 primary schools taking part: Barugh Green, Dodworth St John, Hunningley, Tankersley, Wellgate, Gooseacre, Dearne Highgate, Lacewood, Sacred Heart Catholic, Greenacre, Royston Summer Fields, Summer Lane and Grove Street.
After the screening each school was awarded a trophy by Phil Lawson, principal advisor for Early Years and Primary. Schools were then asked to vote for their favourite film.
