AMERICAN presidential candidate Barack Obama is employing a Barnsley woman to help him win the battle for the White House.
Former Kingstone School pupil Deborah Dunlop will be managing 1,000 foreign journalists as part of Obama's team at the Democratic Convention in Denver later this month.
Last November she spent three weeks working on Hillary Clinton's campaign, including work at one of Bill Clinton's events. It was so popular that Deborah, 28, ended up standing on the front steps of the town hall with the fire marshal turning people away.
She said: "It was madness. I was telling them they couldn't come in with my Barnsley accent. It gets stronger the more stressed I get and people just looked bemused."
