BARNSLEY RSPCA is hoping to re-home Jed the cat so other unwanted and stray cats can be taken in.

Jed has been with the RSPCA since September and has been re-homed once but came back to the organisation through no fault of his own.

Kath Wilkinson from the Barnsley branch says there is no room for any more cats and hopes that if someone can give him a permanent and loving home it will give them more space.

Jed came in because his owners had a new baby and didn't want him anymore but Kath says he is very affectionate and gets on with other cats and dogs.

Kath said: "He is so lovely and affectionate and we just want him to go somewhere nice. For him to be in a pen for so long is terrible."

If anyone could give Jed a new home contact Barnsley RSPCA on 280776.
