PUPILS at Wombwell High heaved a sigh of relief yesterday when the long wait for their GCSE results came to an end.
And for the majority the news was good with many pupils achieving higher grades than they had expected.
Natalie Moore, 16, from Brampton Crescent was speechless when she received her results, five A*s, seven A's and one B.
She said: "I worked really hard for my exams but it is still a shock seeing the results on paper. "I am going to go to Barnsley College to study maths, biology, chemistry and English. After that I want to go to university to study dentistry."
