CLARABEL, Darfield Church's new electronic organ has been unveiled this week.
Last year the organ at All Saints' church, Darfield was ruined when vandals stole lead from the roof allowing rain to pour through into the church.
Clarabel, who Rev Redyoff describes as "a state of the art electronic marvel", can take any organ sound, analyse it and reproduce it electronically, with a sound twice as powerful and five times more varied than the original organ.
Rev Redyoff said: "One note can make thirty different sounds simultaneously, multiply by ten fingers and two feet, wow."
The aesthetics of Jemima, including the wooden exterior and the 125-year-old pipes will remain acting as a traditional surround for the more modern electric version.
Although Clarabel was installed this week an official opening concert will take place later in September.
