AN INLINE skater from Royston brought a gold medal home after becoming the world champion and setting a world record.
Jenna Downing, 20, of West End Crescent, won the LG Action Sports World Championships in Seattle, USA on Saturday and scored 87.75 points out of 100 making her the highest scoring female inline skater.
Jenna said she was thrilled at winning a gold medal and setting a world record. She added: "I'm just so happy, it's something I have wanted to do for so long and it's amazing. To break to world record is the best feeling ever."
