ALMOST 20 teenagers who walked from Worsbrough Bridge to Crowden and back on the Trans-Pennine Trail on Tuesday and Wednesday hope to have raised at least £3,500.
The youngsters, who are on a course to prepare them for joining the army, have raised money for Broughton House, a home for ex-service personnel in Salford.
One of the organisers, Leanne Bateman, who works for ITS, the Park Road training company running the course the walkers are on, said they had wanted to help a good cause with a military theme.
