RESIDENTS in Dodworth Road say putting a super school on the former SR Gent site will be a nightmare to live with.
The entrance to the 2,200-pupil school would be the former SR Gents factory access, which is near the traffic lights where Dodworth Road crosses Broadway and Pogmoor Road.
One idea is to make Dodworth Road one way between that junction and Town End, either up or down, redirecting traffic around Racecommon Road and Broadway.
One resident, who did not want to be named, said: "That's crazy and it would annoy me to be honest. It seems like an awful lot of trouble, and probably money, in trying to solve a problem I'm not sure even exists. I don't think traffic is that bad on Dodworth Road.
"It keeps moving even if it means a few minutes waiting. If there's a problem with the safety of kids, can't they just put a crossing in?"
