ST HELEN'S primary pupils got the red carpet treatment when they attended a film awards ceremony in London.
The youngsters beat thousands of other schools to scoop the film of the year award presented by First Light.
And students were rewarded with a trip to Leicester Square to receive the honours in March.
Headteacher Phil Harrison said it was a super achievement for the pupils and staff who had taken part in the animated production.
"To be shortlisted was a massive achievement so to win it for the second time in our history is amazing.
"It just goes to show how much effort the kids put into it and the enjoyment get from making the productions. I am very proud of them."
The short film was based on former pupil Marion Mapplebeck who retired as caretaker last May.
