ALMOST 200 council and private taxi drivers have been taking national vocational qualifications in passenger vehicle driving.
They learnt things such as health and safety, how to drive efficiently and the law on the 20-week part-time course at Doncaster College.
Lecturer Medi Ghaffarin said students included at least 30 council-regulated Hackney carriage drivers, some 60 cabbies from A 1 Ace and others from Blueline.
