A MOTORCYCLIST has died from his injuries following a crash where he was thrown into a garden.
At around 3.45pm on Thursday the 52 year-old was travelling towards Barnsley when the incident occured outside Swithens Farm on Huddersfield Road near the Haigh motorway junction.
The black Yamaha bike hit a telegraph pole and the rider was thrown from the motorcycle landing in a nearby garden.
Police say he suffered fatal head injuries and that no other vehicle was involved.
They are appealing for witnesses or anyone who saw the motorbike shortly before. Contact 0114 220 2970.
