CAN any of our readers identify the bride and groom on a splendid old wedding photograph taken in 1920?
The photograph has had a long journey to get to Barnsley having been sent 12,000 miles from New Zealand. It was brought into the office by Chronicle reader John Shepherd.
He pointed out that his mother Ruth Annie Shaw is the third lady from the right on the second row from the front. She is wearing a hat and is on the bride's left.
Annie was only 17 at the time the photograph was taken. She later married Robert Shepherd.
John's aunt who was called Edith French (nee Shaw) is far right on the second row from the front.
If anyone can identify anyone else on the photograph, please contact Kath Parkin, Barnsley Chronicle editorial department, 47, Church Street, Barnsley.
