THE costs of rebuilding and extending the Civic hall continues to spiral.
New figures this week show the bill will be nearly twice the original £11m budget.
It is now anticipated the final figure for renovation will be £19.845m.
Barnsley Council has borrowed £3.3m to meet the deficit and has received and extra £4.3m in grants. But it still needs to find a further £1.1m to cover costs.
