A MOTORCYCLIST and his son both suffered serious injuries in a crash on Harborough Hill on Monday, March 22.

It occurred at about 4.30pm after a grey Peugeot 407 travelling up the hill tried to undertake a Yamaha Fazer motorbike and the two collided.

The 52-year-old rider from Stocksbridge suffered serious chest injuries including a punctured lung and broken ribs, and his 17-year-old son, who was riding pillion, suffered a suspected broken arm.

The driver of the car, 37, from Worsbrough, was uninjured.

Traffic queues stretched down Harborough Hill until about 6.30pm as officers cleared the scene.
