KEXBOROUGH Primary has received more than £8,000 in grants to create a pond and build a parents’ shelter.
Pupils celebrated on Tuesday when the two projects were opened by the Mayor and Mayoress Coun John Parkinson and wife Linda.
Work to create a pond and a sheltered area for parents comes after the school was handed grants from the Supergrounds project for £4,000 and the government’s Department for Children, Schools and Families, totalling £4,800.
