CHEERLEADER Bekki Youell is hoping to represent the UK in the world cheerleading championships next year.
She is attending trials to join the UK team, which will be competing in Orlando, Florida, in April.
She says there’s a long way to go - there will be about 500 people trying out for about 25 to 30 places on the team.
“I’m going to give it my best,†she said.
Bekki, 23, of Warner Road, Pogmoor, works as a dance instructor and does cheerleading classes in Barnsley schools.
She’s running a cheerleading ‘camp’ at the College’s Honeywell site in October half term, from 9am until 3pm.
