ELDERLY residents face spending Christmas with strangers after a decision was made to close their care home, making 27 staff redundant.
Manor Court Care Home, on Churchfield Lane, Kexborough, will shut by December 27 following poor inspection reports by the Care Quality Commission, the regulatory body for care homes.
Its occupants, many who suffer from dementia, have been forced to relocate with several having gone to new homes this week.
