ANOTHER blow has been dealt to Barnsley’s troubled manufacturing industry with the announcement that another 30 jobs are to be axed.
Adhesive producer Bostik has had a plant on the Carlton Industrial Estate for eight years but will close in December.
Staff were called to a meeting this week and told the firm is relocating the plant.
One worker said the news was a ‘bolt from the blue’. He said morale had sunk since the meeting and staff were just ‘waiting to see what happens’.
