DARTON gymnast Zara McLean tumbled to success at the European Championships in France.
Representing Great Britain, the 16-year-old scooped a gold medal in the team event and came fourth individually.
“It's made all the training worthwhile. Probably the hardest part was trying to fit in all the training with school work.”
She had to come back early from the tournament to complete her GCSEs.
Zara, from Kexborough Drive, competed in the tumbling section of the competition.
