Expectant mums will have free roam of Barnsley Hospital while waiting for appointments thanks to a new paging system.
The antenatal clinic will give parents the devices so they do not have to stay in the waiting rooms when there are delays in appointments.
Mums can go to the hospital restaurant or cafe or take a stroll around hospital grounds without worrying about missing their appointment.The pager is set to alert them when their appointment is next in line, giving them plenty of time to return to the antenatal unit.
Antenatal clinic manager Sharon Hardy said it gave women control over their time when they visited the hospital.
