A Barnsley-based arts organisation which works with refugees, the mentally ill and in schools has had funding withdrawn.
Action Space Mobile has been told its bid to Arts Council Yorkshire has been unsuccessful.
The Arts Council has for years part-funded the Barnsley-based organisation, which runs a theatre group for adults with learning disabilities at the Cooper Gallery. It also holds school holiday activities for disabled children.
Artistic director Mary Turner said: “This is very disappointing for the many artists and participants involved and for parents of children with disabilities."We need financial support for our long-term projects and our running costs. We will face the challenges and try to minimise the knock-on effects of the cuts."
