Barnsley band GoldSoul releases debut single 'Blood Red' on Monday before heading back to the studio to record a follow-up.
Singer Dave Mapson says the band hopes to have a special guest on the new recording, Ben Gautrey, of Cooper Temple Clause.
"We have played with them before and I made mates with him. We're talking to him about the second single."
In September the group will head to Holland, Belgium and France on tour. "I'm really excited. We have played all these little 'toilet venues' around the UK but we're now stepping out a bit."
The band is also in talks with a 'well known' group about doing a 15-date tour together.
Meanwhile another Barnsley band Dirty Jeans release their eponymous EP today and celebrate with a gig in the Cedar Room on Royal Street.
Singer Katie Barnes, 23, said: "It's always great to play in Barnsley. The band have been looking forward to this for a while."
The gig starts at 8pm. Dirty Jeans will also play at the Barnsley Fake Festival in July and M-Festival in August.
