AS WE reach the final game of the season at Oakwell this Saturday, I want to take this opportunity to offer a sincere thank you to everyone who has stood by the club over the course of the campaign.
It’s fair to say this season hasn’t brought the moments we all hoped for on the pitch.
But through the ups and downs, the unwavering loyalty of our supporters, the hard work of our staff and players, and the continued backing of our partners has never gone unnoticed.
Your commitment continues to be the heartbeat of this football club.
While the fixtures may come to an end next weekend, the work doesn’t stop.
Planning and preparation for the 2025/26 season is already well underway.
We are focused on moving forward with purpose and building a club that the town can be proud of – both on and off the field.
I’m also pleased to share that we’ll soon be announcing the new sponsor for the Norman Rimmington South Stand.
The partnership will involve a local business with deep roots in Barnsley – a fitting tribute to Norman’s legacy, and a reflection of the values that continue to guide us.
Looking ahead, Oakwell will remain a lively place over the summer.
With a series of events planned – including family-friendly days, community outreach, and a major boxing event – we hope to see many of you back with us during the off-season as we continue to strengthen our ties with Barnsley and the wider region.
Let’s finish at Oakwell for this season with pride, together.
Thank you once again for all your support.
Jon Flatman.
CEO, Barnsley Football Club.
