BARNSLEY man and veteran football manager Mick McCarthy has been inducted into the League Managers’ Association’s ‘Hall of Fame 1000 Club.’
McCarthy, who is from Worsbrough and a Reds legend after starting his playing career at Oakwell, has managed in more than 1,000 games for Millwall, Sunderland, Wolves, Ipswich, Cardiff and Blackpool.
Mick – who also took charge of the Republic of Ireland for two spells – was honoured along with fellow EFL veteran Ian Holloway as well as Premier League legends Jürgen Klopp, José Mourinho and David Moyes.
