JOSHUA Van Oudtshoorn took seven wickets as Monk Bretton dismissed Whitley Hall for 132 in a seven-wicket South Yorkshire League Division One win.
The South African claimed seven for 38 for the Monks who have moved up to seventh with three wins in their last four league games.
Fourth-placed Darfield won by five runs at home to Wickersley. Zeeshan Ahmad (63) and Joe Stickland (70) led Darfield to 254 then Ahmad took four wickets and as did Saman Khursheed who conceded no runs from the last three balls to see the win out.
Fifth-placed Houghton Main chased 190 in a four-wicket win at Warmsworth. Vigneshwar Ramesh took three wickets.
Penistone’s 199 was not enough in a six-wicket home loss to Conisbrough.
Connor Smythe made 75 then Chris Walmsley took three wickets.
The two teams met again the next day in the Mick Savage Cup and it was the same result, with Penistone skittled for 113 in a six-wicket defeat.
Barnsley Woolley Miners 2nd XI were restricted to 174 in a seven-wicket loss to Coal Aston. Alfie Gosney made 56.
Brennan Wilson scored his fifth century of the season for Cawthorne 2nd XI in their win at Oughtbridge 2nd XI in Division Two. He made 103 off 111 balls with 14 fours and a six, taking him to 974 runs for the season at an average of 97.4.
Daniel Airstone added 77 in Cawthorne’s 286 then Thom Macrow took four wickets to bowl the hosts out for 162.
They also won at home to Birstall in the Crowther Cup.
Airstone made 53 in Cawthorne’s 239 then Ryan Gibson took four wickets as the visitors were bowled out for 158.
Elsecar 2nd XI chased 196 for a six-wicket win at home to Thorpe Hesley and High Green. Oliver Blackburn made 78 not out.
Worsbrough Bridge dismissed Frecheville for 101 defending 227 in Division Three. Mark Wilkinson made 69 not out then Liam Levitt took five for 24 and Liam Hague claimed three wickets.
Wath 2nd XI skittled Rockingham 2nd XI for 88 defending 109. There were four wickets for Rock’s Jawad Akhtar.
Matty Woods starred as Kexborough chased 237 for a three-wicket win at Wombwell Main in Division Four.
Woods took three wickets then, after Kexborough were three for 14, he made 107 not out with Joseph Bullock adding 54. Matt Tonks (50) and Luke Copley (65) top-scored for Wombwell.
Barnsley Woolley Miners 3rd XI won by four runs at Doncaster Town 3rd XI.
Fasih Khan took four wickets as the hosts were bowled out for 165.
Silkstone United were dismissed for 197 chasing 214 at home to Warmsworth in Division Five.
Penistone 2nd XI fell 55 runs short chasing 260 at Conisbrough 2nd XI.
Lee Ogden scored 63 and Marcus Hoyland 55 not out.
Green Moor won by 59 runs at home to Darfield 2nd XI in Division Six. Daniel Lowe (66) led Green Moor to 194 then Campbell Wroe hit 61 off 49 balls for Darfield. Curtis Coles took four wickets.
Dearne fell 30 runs short chasing 249 at Houghton Main 2nd XI in Division Eight. Gulagha Sadiq top-scored with 78 for Houghton then there were five wickets for Shokoor Ahmadzai. Elliot Freeborough took four wickets for Dearne then Nick Petty made 70 not out.
Wombwell Main 2nd XI skittled Kexborough 2nd XI for 70 defending 257.
Elliot Mann made 68 then Connor Turford took five wickets.
Barnsley Woolley Miners 4th XI beat Doncaster Town 4th XI by 11 runs in Division Seven. Steven Dixon (72) took Barnsley to 184.
Silkstone 2nd XI were removed for 133 chasing 197 at Sheffield University Staff 2nd XI in Division Nine.
Ian Wearmouth claimed four wickets and Joe Green made 60.
