A fashion designer from Barnsley showed she could cut it at the Alternative Fashion Week in London.
Kelly-Ann Garforth showcased her ‘dance with a stranger’ swimwear collection at the event at Old Spitalfields Market.
The 23-year-old found out she had a place four weeks before the show last week. “It was manic but I’m really pleased with how it went,” she said.
“You turn up on the day and choose your models there and then which was a bit chaotic. Hair and make-up people then try and get you to use them for the show.
“We had a great time and it was a fantastic opportunity to meet so many creative people.
“I would say it’s one of the best shows I have done.”
Her label, Klue by Kelly-Ann, which she runs from her Royston studio, features various swimwear collections and her many fashion lines. It supplies local, national and overseas boutiques, through the Asos website and and she has recently secured a stockist for her swimwear in Australia.
“It’s all going really well at the minute. Everything seems to be moving forward nicely.”
