A 'petty' councillor demanded posters advertising a jubilee street party be taken down because fly-posting is a 'scourge' to the community.
The party-pooping Coun Penny Lofts acted after spotting the A4-laminated sheets on Victoria Terrace, Old Town.
Community-minded residents on Swift Street where the street party will be held have responded by dubbing her 'Petty' Lofts and erecting signs in virtually every garden and window on the terraced row.
The 'Jubilympics' event will go ahead and members of the Old Town Community Committee said they wanted to concentrate on having a fun day. Their party runs from 2pm to 5pm on Monday.
