BARNSLEY pageant girl Swayze Best has been crowned Miss Earth England Water at her latest competition.
Established in 2001, the pageant’s purpose is to have its candidates and winners actively promote and get involved in the preservation of the environment.
Swayze, from Honeywell, only had a month to prepare for the competition - but walked away with the ‘water’ title.
She told the Chronicle: “I represented Barnsley in the prestigious Miss Earth England pageant and was crowned Miss Earth England Water.
“I only had a month to prepare and I was the youngest in the competition.
“But I’m so happy to have made the royal court alongside three other incredible women.
“I’m over the moon.”
