A MONK Bretton man who admitted brandishing a samurai sword in public will be sentenced in September.

Ben Brennan, of Rotherham Road, was stopped with the weapon on July 22 having damaged a Cundy Cross property’s window.

The 28-year-old was bailed to allow a pre-sentence report to be compiled.

He will return to Barnsley Magistrates’ Court on September 29.
