FORMER Barnsley FC player Scott Jones scored 123 off 119 balls as Green Moor won at Mexborough in Division Six.

Jones, now 50, hit 21 fours in his side’s 225 then the hosts were out for 109 with Satvir Singh taking four for 22.

Darfield won by 81 runs at home to Monk Bretton in Division One.

Syed Shah’s unbeaten 61 led Darfield to 211 then Zeeshan Ahmad took three wickets to bowl the Monks out for 130.

Darfield are third, ten points off the second promotion place with a game in hand.

Last-placed Penistone lost at home to Houghton Main.

Houghton’s Danish Hussain took four wickets as the hosts were restricted to 148 then Ian Simon (65) and Noman Waheed (63) shared an opening stand of 134. Jack Meek took four wickets for Penistone who are 38 points adrift of safety with four games left.

Kexborough’s promotion hopes in Division Four suffered a blow as they were bowled out for 104 in a six-wicket loss at Barnby Dun.

Suthaharan Nadesapillai took four wickets for Kexborough who slipped down to fourth.

Second-bottom Wombwell Main were all out for 77 in an eight-wicket loss at Sprotbrough 2nd XI.

Silkstone United won by 22 runs defending 144 at home to Penistone 2nd XI in Division Five.

There were three wickets for Silkstone’s Christopher Barraclough, Emilia Rossi and Joseph Mosley.

Silkstone are now fourth.

Worsbrough Bridge fell 34 runs short chasing 226 at Caribbean Sports in Division Three.

Higham’s 152 was not enough in an eight-wicket loss at Shiregreen 2nd XI.

Alex Morris (52) and Glen Burden (53) shared a stand of 87.

Rockingham 2nd XI won by 29 runs at Sheffield Collegiate 3rd XI. Rock posted 132 then William Dooling took five wickets and Peter Lomas four.

Wath 2nd XI skittled Bradfield for 97 in a nine-wicket win. Jack Moran took seven for 26 off 13 overs then Jonathan Plater carried his bat with 54 not out off 30 balls including nines fours.

Second-bottom Dearne were dismissed for 43 chasing 329 at Hallam 3rd XI in Division Eight.

Noman Iqbal made 160 off 101 balls as leaders Wombwell Main 2nd XI won by 31 runs at home to Sprotbrough 3rd XI.

Iqbal hit 22 fours and seven sixes with Elliott Mann adding 53 in Wombwell’s 303 for eight.

Second-placed Houghton Main 2nd XI won by 104 runs at home to Norton Oakes 2nd XI.

Shokoor Ahmadzai blasted 100 off 55 balls with 14 fours and five sixes in Houghton’s 244 then took four wickets.

Kexborough 2nd XI removed Barnby Dun 2nd XI for 62 in a nine-wicket victory.

Monk Bretton 2nd XI defended 127 by dismissing Norton Woodseats 2nd XI for 99.

Jake Richardson took five wickets.

Cawthorne 2nd XI removed Wakefield 2nd XI for 94 defending 212, with Buck Rees-McClure taking six wickets, in Division Two.
