Barnsley star Adam Phillips has taken to social media to say he is not leaving the club on transfer deadline day despite reports of a bid from Luton Town.
The midfielder wrote on Instagram ‘I’m not f****** leaving’, seemingly to quash speculation that he would be sold before the 7pm deadline today.
Barnsley had been expected to sell some of their star players this summer but no bids are thought to have met their valuation for the likes of Phillips, captain Luca Connell or top-scorer Davis Keillor-Dunn.
They are also trying to bring in a couple of players today, with more depth in defence and up front understood to be the priorities.
One of their targets was striker Dom Ballard who has moved from Southampton to Leyton Orient. Barnley have reportedly submitted a loan bid to Bolton Wanderers for their former player John McAtee.
