A COMMUNITY group which raises money to support local cat rescues has donated £700 to three causes.
Funds for Felines Barnsley donated the money to Jules Hales, South Yorkshire Street Cats and Noah’s Ark Cat Rescue.
Coun Chris Wray, who helps run the group, has praised the community for their support.
He added: “The hard work of amazing volunteers like Bev, Em, Geoff and Alison have made this possible, and I love being a part of it.
“We only started in April, but we have already made and donated over £1,000 in money, food and other things like vet bills to local rescues.
“All I could ask is that people follow us on Facebook - Funds for Felines Barnsley - and come find us at the events we do to help the cats across Barnsley.”
