POLICE are appealing for information after a woman suffered a broken neck following a collision with a motorcyclist in the town centre.
Emergency services were called to Peel Parade in the early hours of the morning on September 20 following reports of a collision involving a motorcyclist and a pedestrian.
It is understood that a motorcyclist collided with a woman who was walking along the road.
The rider of the motorcycle did not remain at the scene and fled prior to officers’ arrival.
The woman, aged in her 20s, suffered a broken neck and was taken to hospital.
Officers have now shared a CCTV image of a man they are keen to identify in connection to the incident.
A spokesperson said: “Do you recognise him?
“The man is described as aged late teens to early twenties and of a slim build.
“We are also keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or may have footage of the collision, or motorcyclists in the area at the time that can help us progress our inquiry.
