CONTROVERSIAL plans for the £15m redevelopment of Penistone markets area including will go on display next week.
The proposed Tesco store, along with new fire and ambulance stations and 95 sheltered housing apartments, are included in the proposals by land owners Dransfield Properties.
The public can have their say when the plans are unveiled at St John’s Community Centre on Church Street on Thursday from 11am-7pm.
Staff from Dransfield will be at the exhibition and there will be a virtual tour of the proposals.
Visitors will be asked to comment on the plans and will be able to choose between modern and traditional designs for the supermarket.
The creation of a 246-car park and the refurbishment of derelict buildings in Regents Gardens will also form part of the project.
It is estimated up to 200 jobs will be created at the supermarket.
