THE town centre’s new youth zone is looking for volunteers to support youngsters.
In preparation for its opening in January next year, Base71 will be Yorkshire’s first OnSide-run centre on Schwabisch Gmund Way.
It will provide a safe and welcoming space for youngsters to grow, make friendships and create brighter futures.
Volunteer recruitment will begin next month, with organisers urging people ‘who want to make a difference’ to apply.
Previous experience is not necessary with volunteers who have a special hobby or skill they would like to share especially encouraged to apply.
Volunteering is flexible, whether you can only give a few hours a week or support special events.
Applicants must be aged 18 and over.
Base71 are hosting a volunteer information event on November 27, from 4pm, where interested parties can ask questions and learn about the role.
