CONOR Hourihane was full of praise for his Barnsley side after they ran riot at Oakwell in a 5-0 win against Luton Town.
Reyes Cleary, Patrick Kelly and Luca Connell put Barnsley 3-0 up at half-time before Tennai Watson and Davis Keillor-Dunn put the game to bed in the second half.
It was a fantastic performance from start to finish and one that Hourihane said he enjoyed.
He said: "I enjoyed it at the end.
"I think I was shouting and screaming even in the last two or three minutes because I was desperate for the clean sheet.
"I'm delighted with the lads, delighted with the performance."
It was Barnsley's first clean sheet since a 1-0 away at Peterborough back in August.
Hourihane said: "It's exceptional.
"We've worked so hard on this.
"I think I've made a big point of it and we've done so much work on the grass.
"I think over the last batch of games where we've not kept clean sheets, there's not been too many individual errors.
"It's just been work with the team and how we look when we're in that little bit of a low block and teams have spells against us.
"We need to be more connected and we need to do our jobs and we've done loads of work on that.
"I know we didn't keep a clean sheet against Donny, but the back line are starting to get protection even more now from the lads in front of them, which is adding to a team-orientated, defence-minded focus at the right time to keep clean sheets."
Reyes Cleary put in a man of the match performance, scoring the first and setting up the second.
Hourihane said: "I think we're playing to his strengths.
"I think we're getting him on the ball at the right times.
"I think at the start of the season, we played a certain formation and now we've tweaked it a little bit to get Reyes in his best position.
"And he's thriving on us and he's playing with that freedom.
"He's obviously full of confidence.
"He knows that I've got his full backing and it is a joy to watch him right now.
"It's priceless at this level, pace, power.
"If you've got people that can run with energy and dribble forwards.
"Fabio will come into the equation as well over the next couple of weeks when he gets back.
"Vickers is another one that can really get us up the pitch and be exciting."
Vimal Yoganathan also impressed as he started the game following his first league goal against Doncaster Rovers last time out.
He hit the woodwork twice in the first half and was unlucky not to grab another goal.
Hourihane said: "I thought he was brilliant.
"Davo might get the headlines and Reyes will because they scored goals and Patrick Kelly will, but I thought Vimal was really impressive.
"I thought he was energetic, pressing well and taking the ball off the opposition and transitioning forward at the right time.
"I thought it was really good.
"We've got a clear way of how we want to look in and out of possession.
"At times, out of possession he'll look like he's pressing as a winger but when we're in possession, he'll be in the middle of the pitch where we want him to be.
"We look a little bit different when we don't have the ball to when we do have the ball in terms of shapes and formations.
"So, we feel like we're getting the best out of him at the minute."
