VETERAN bus drivers and staff had their faces plastered on to a special bus at Barnsley Interchange to toast their service.
Twenty years ago this week, Stagecoach took over the operations of Yorkshire Traction in South Yorkshire.
To mark the anniversary, a bus kitted out in a unique livery - featuring the faces of employees who’ve clocked up years of service - made its debut.
Matt Kitchin, managing director of Stagecoach Yorkshire, said: “As we celebrate our 20th anniversary, we’re taking a moment to reflect on the people who have shaped our journey and helped build Stagecoach into the modern, trusted operation it is today.
“From the earliest days to now, it’s been the dedication of our hard-working local teams coming together every day to serve their communities, that defines who we are.
“Whether it’s the cleaners who take pride in preparing each bus, the engineers who keep us safely moving, or the teams working tirelessly behind the scenes, every role matters.
“Our customers place their trust in us day in and day out, and it’s these incredible people, with a proud history of doing things well, who make that promise a reality.”
