Barnsley have signed forward Tawanda Chirewa on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The 22-year-old has played ten times in the Premier League and has 11 caps for Zimbabwe.

He spent last season on loan at Derby then Huddersfield.

Barnsley now have four loan loan players with five allowed in a matchday squad.

Head coach Conor Hourihane said: “We’re really pleased to bring Tawanda in. He’s a young player with genuine top-level experience, and that’s a big asset for us. His Premier League exposure and ability to play across the front line give us another dimension going into the final stretch of the season. He’s hungry, he’s quick, and he fits the style we want to play.”
