OLIVER Rowland is due back in action this weekend when the fourth and fifth races of the Formula E season take place in Saudi Arabia.
The Penistone man, 32, won the title last year and is currently fourth after three races. He is six points off the current leader, Australian Jake Cassidy.
Rowland finished on the podium in the first two events of the season in Brazil and Mexico but was 12th in Miami last week.
There are due to be races in Jeddah on Friday and Saturday – the first double-header of the season.
Rowland said: “Jeddah was one of our strongest tracks last season as we showed great performance on our way to taking victory in the second race.
“However, we know that everyone has improved their understanding of the cars since last year. The circuit has a nice variety of challenges with some tricky braking zones which will test all of us drivers.
“Qualifying is definitely an area to work on from the opening three events.
“I know if we improve on that then we can be fighting towards the front end of the field throughout the E-Prixs, and that’s the goal this weekend.”
After the Saudi Arabia event, there are 12 more races starting with a trip to Madrid on March 21.
