A PAIR of theatre producers are set to unveil their original production.
Ben Nickless and Jack Land Noble have united to create the new play - ‘Trouble With Kids’ - which will make its debut at the Lamproom Theatre next month.
Ben, an award-winning comic, describes the play as a laugh-out-loud production about friendship, fertility, fame and kids.
It will explore the lives of Will and Marc, a pair of best mates and comics.
Marc is a jobbing comic with a wife, kids and a crumbling career.
Will is a national treasure - he’s rich, famous and adored, but his marriage is strained by infertility.
The play will attempt to answer the enduring question - is it really possible to have it all?
The production will begin on March 17 and run until March 21, which will have a special bonus evening matinee.
Ben said: “I’m so happy to be bringing the premier of Trouble With Kids to the Lamproom Theatre - it’s such a beautiful, intimate theatre and the Barnsley audiences have always been incredible when I’ve played there before.
“The play is all based on real-life events that will relate to anyone with kids, or trying to have kids.
“It is full of comedy with a touch of heart.
“The cast is incredible and they are all exceptionally strong comedy performers and familiar faces from TV and theatre.
“I’m excited and slightly nervous, but I really can’t wait for everyone to see it.”
