Wath are second in Yorkshire Division One, three points behind the leaders Dinnington and ten clear of third-placed Yarnbury who have played an extra game. They have nine league games left starting at leaders Dinnington on Saturday before they are due to visit Goole in a cup tie on Wednesday.

It was a seventh straight loss for last-placed Dearne who are eight points adrift in the bottom two.
