Worsbrough Bridge won 3-2 at home to Selby Town in NCEL Division One.
Keelan Grist and Lewis O'Connor put Bridge 2-0 up then, after the visitors levelled, Benjamin Pike scored a late winner.
Bridge are third.
They are 13 points behind Dearne and District, who are in the only automatic promotion place, and 17 clear in the four play-off places.
Dearne and District are nine points clear at the top.
They have won their last eight league games and have 80 points from 32 games.
They won 3-1 home to South Leeds on Saturday.
Justin Circuit, Adam Baskerville and Jamie Austin put the hosts in control before an injury-time reply.
Penistone Church lost 4-1 at leaders Liversedge in the Premier Division.
They were 3-0 down after 33 minutes then Nathan Keightley replied with a penalty before conceding again.
That result ended their six-game unbeaten run.
They are 11th in the table, 14 points adrift of the play-off places and ten clear of the relegation zone – with eight games to play up until April 4.
