A DARFIELD man who was filmed pushing police officers during the riot at Manvers in 2024 has been jailed.

On August 4, police officers at the Holiday Inn were thrown into large-scale scenes of violence.

More than 60 were injured during the incident.

Darren Ward, 55, was recorded aggressively pushing officers and displaying threatening behaviour.

Following the disorder, thousands of hours’ worth of footage was analysed to identify perpetrators of the violence.

From this footage, the force released several media appeals containing images of those thought to be involved.

Exactly three months after the disorder, on November 4, Ward handed himself in after seeing himself in a media appeal.

Following his arrest, he was charged with violent disorder - to which he pleaded guilty.
