SCORES of a Barnsley travel agency's passengers were stranded when they turned up at an airport only to find they had no tickets.
It is the second time a Barnsley-based travel firm specialising in trips to Ghana has left customers in the lurch.
Ghana Vacations, based on Summer Lane, had supposedly booked the travellers onto Ghana International flights - but when they arrived at Gatwick airport the airline knew nothing about them.
About 18-months ago, Ghana Travel, also based on Summer Lane, left hundreds of passengers stranded in the UK and in Ghana when it went bust.
Michael Trepcyzyk, of Norfolk Close, Monk Bretton, was a director of both firms.
This summer disappointed customers from across England have turned up at Modern House, Summer Lane, looking for the firm's premises, including a couple who were supposed to fly to Ghana to get married, according to landlord John Crampton.
Mr Crampton told the Chronicle he had kicked Ghana Vacations out because it owes £4,000 in rent.
