BARNSLEY have brought back striker Leo Farrell from his loan at Scunthorpe United.
He was sent out on a 28-day loan to the National League promotion-chasers Scunthorpe on February 28 and the Reds have decided not to extend it.
The 20-year-old has scored four goals in seven games for Scunthorpe. He came off the bench on Wednesday evening in a draw with Rochdale.
Farrell has never started for Barnsley but has made five substitute appearances, including two in the league this season. Barnsley’s only senior strikers are David McGoldrick and Tom Bradshaw who missed Saturday’s game with an injury.
Scunthorpe manager Andy Butler said: “Barnsley have decided not to extend the loan purely because I think Tom Bradshaw is injured. We wish him all the best because he’s been a very good signing for us and a very good person as well. All the lads gave him a round of applause.”
