A TEENAGER is set to release his debut album later this month - and he’s hoping it’ll help boost his career.

Romeo Wharton, 15, goes by the stage name RØMEØH and the 11-track album ‘Different Kind of Distant’ will be released on April 17.

It comes after the year ten Netherwood Academy pupil released his previous music in 2025.

The new album took him around seven months to write and fully record - all from the comfort of his own bedroom.

Having been playing since the age of six, he’s been busy performing around South Yorkshire for the past 16 months.

And he’s hoping the release will help him moving forward.

Romeo, from Wombwell, told the Chronicle: “It was inspired by albums like Kasabian’s debut album and Be Here Now by Oasis.

“Artists like Miles Kane, Fontaines and Sam Fender are also inspirations for me.

“The main themes in the tracks are raw honesty and being true to yourself.

“I’m inspired my own experiences but also by stories I hear from others.

“My plans moving forward are to let this release land and then focus on developing my following and getting stuck into the local music scene.
